Happy Women’s HER-Story Month. Can you believe it’s March 2023 already? We are at the end of the first quarter, and I’ve been hibernating. During the winter months from December to March, I take a break. Why? Because rest is important. Last year was busy for me and my family. Between moving, the death of my grandmother, my uncle and on Xmas eve my aunt, it was an emotional year. Plus planning ITAVF Gala and working with new and existing clients. At the end of 2022, I felt drained more than ever. Finding the balance between being a mom, being in a polyamorous relationship and married, a business owner/entrepreneur, and dealing with the everyday issues that’s a part of life’s journey… rest is not a luxury, it’s a necessity Refresh, rejuvenate and regroup. This documentary was created by Dr. Nia Imani Bailey a radiation therapist and the Founder of Agape–Finding Your Purpose, Incorporating Your Faith Non-Profit Organization. This documentary gives some insight into the journey of young women dealing with their breast cancer diagnosis and life itself—while also highlighting prevention measures. Not one eyes was dry watching this documentary. To hear these phenomenal women share their journey was truly amazing. What stood out to me as well was how Dr. Nia honored all the breast cancer survivors that were in the room. My sister-in-love included. This documentary really shows you, that cancer in general does not discriminate. How you got to advocate for yourself and your health. Especially when you know something is wrong but healthcare providers are telling you…
