My trip to Vegas was absolutely amazing. This is the first time I’ve ever been away from Phoenix for more than a few hours. This was my first trip since 2019 and my very first being away for a whole week without him. Like I mentioned before, my mommy separation anxiety been real. And it’s something I’ve been working on. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely called my husband everyday and facetime at least 3 times a day and watched the night-cam when he went to bed. The separation anxiety was real.

Nonetheless, I had a spectacular time.

This isn’t my first trip to Vegas, in my previous blog post I’ve talked about my travels to Vegas and how much I loved being out there. But as many of you may know, I lost a lot of my blog post due to a serve crash. That’s another story for another day.

So, how was my week in Las Vegas? It was what I needed.

Luxor Hotel

I stayed at the Luxor Hotel and it was beautiful. However, I think I like my hotels to be more homey next time. I loved that the Luxor was connected to so many places. I honestly didn’t need to venture out to too many places if I didn’t want to because everything was at my fingertip at the Luxor.

The Luxor is located at 3900 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

One of the best thing about the Luxor was that the Tram Station is apart of the hotel, which mean travel around Vegas wasn’t that bad.

Most of the restaurants I went to was at the Luxor. They had everything and I mean everything.

But the one thing about Vegas I will never get used to and that’s their high ass price for wine & spirits. Hence the reasons, I ventured beyond the strip.

Another great thing about the Luxor, is that it’s also connected to the Mandalay Bay and Excalibur Hotel. I had access to 3 casinos, a variety of restaurants, shopping centers and amenities.

Burger Bar

Places I visited in The Shoppes at Mandalay Place

  1. BURGER BAR
  2. FAT TUESDAY
  3. KUNG FU TEA
  4. LICK
  5. RÍ RÁ IRISH PUB
  6. SLICE OF VEGAS
  7. WTLV

Few other things I did in Vegas.

  • I went bowling
  • Went to the movies
  • Found a cute little shopping center off the strip
  • Went to Fogo de Chão
  • Had Pho at the Noodle Exchange

I actually went bowling a few times because it was lots of fun. I went to the Gold Coast Bowling Center which is located inside The Gold Coast Hotel and Casino. They also have a bar inside the bowling alley that serves food and drink until 10pm. But after that there’s a Fridays restaurant located inside as well that you can order food and take inside the bowling alley.

Located inside the Gold Coast Hotel was also the Noodle Exchange Restaurant where I had delicious Pho soup. Definitely will try this location again when I return to Vegas.

Gold Coast Hotel & Casino is located at 4000 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89103

But, one of my best highlight in Las Vegas was Fogo De Chao. Talk about quality. Philly’s Fogo has nothing on Vegas, I was utterly impressed and it was worth the $700

From the service, the food, the Wagyu beef, the drinks. EVERYTHING WAS TOP TIER.

Fogo De Chao is located at 360 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89169

As I mentioned, I went to the movies, I stumbled upon Town Square Las Vegas located at 6587 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119 by accident. The AMC there was very nice. I saw Black Adam which was fantastic if you haven’t watched it yet. After the movie, I explored the square and believe it or not, I got lost.

Though I didn’t mind wondering around, I found a few of my favorite stores like Hot Topics and actually found a wine and spirits close by which was perfect because I refuse to pay for overpriced resort drinks.

This little shopping center was a gem and I will definitely visit again and explore more. If you’re ever in Vegas, you should visit it.

I ventured out to the strip a few time to try places I’ve never tried before such as Denny’s and engaged in some tourist attractions. However, this is the first time being in Vegas and not going to a pool party or any clubs. Though I wanted to see Usher, tickets were sold out.

Overall, it was a fun and relaxing trip. I didn’t know I needed it until I got there. Though I missed Phoenix, my mommy separation anxiety wasn’t as bad.

If you’ve been to Vegas before, comment on some of your favorite spot to visit or what you like to do.

Thanks to my travel agent Lumpkin Travel for booking this trip for me.
