Growing up on an island has it perks! This is one of my favorite green smoothie and kids will absolutely love it too!  Day # 7

So, growing up in Jamaica we had Guava trees. Guava are so good. O mg. Even the green ones (green meaning not so ripe).

Over the last few years, I’ve seen people taking Jamaican culture and other Caribbean cultures branding it “Vegan” probably why I dislike the term “vegan” so much.

Anyhow, Guava are a tropical fruit that contains edible seeds. The leaves from Guava tree are often used for herbal tea.

Guava is very rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, potassium and fiber.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find the actual Guava fruit but I found Guava juice. They said it’s 100% natural (I’ll take there word I guess)

I called this one a Tasty Treat.

2 cups spinach
2 cups guava juice, I used Ceres Guava Juice
1 banana
1/2 cup pineapple
1/2 cup mango

Remember always blend leafy green and liquid base together before blending you’re fruits.

Blend guava juice and spinach together. Next, add fruits and blend again.

Enjoy!
