Ok. This is by far one of my favorite green smoothie recipes. I’m sure you’re going to hear that a lot but it’s true. I love green smoothies and when I stuck gold with creating a recipe that tastes super delicious, I get extremely excited.
Did you know…Coconut water is low in calories, naturally free of fat and cholesterol, more potassium than four bananas, and it’s super hydrating?
Growing up in Jamaica, I loved drinking coconut water straight from the coconut itself. Every Sunday whenever my grandmother would make rice and peas, she would crack open a coconut, pour the water in a cup and grater the meat inside to make coconut milk.
I grew up on coconut water and eating lots of coconuts.
To switch things up a bit, I combined kale and coconut water together to make this tasty green smoothie recipe.
Coconuty Kale:
Ingredients:
2 Cups Kale
2 Cups Coconut Water
1 Cup Pineapple
1 Cup Mango
½ Banana
Directions
Blend kale and coconut water together. Add fruits and blend again.
Tips: Chop kale to make it easier to blend. Use frozen fruits or precut your fruits and freeze them to make your smoothie cool.
