Last year I talked about rebranding my catering business due to the pandemic. A lot of people reached out to me asking what rebranding was while others needed help rebranding their businesses.

So, what exactly is rebranding?

By definition rebranding means to “change the corporate image of (a company or organization).”

But, what does that really mean? Rebranding is when a brand rethinks its marketing strategy by changing its name, logo or design, with the intention of developing something new.

In my opinion rebranding isn’t complicated but it does carry some risk. That’s why it’s important to know whether rebranding is for you or not. Ask yourself, why are you rebranding and what do you hope to gain?

I rebranded my catering business because I wasn’t offering catering services anymore. I created a new logo, a new name and a new purpose. Because I wasn’t offering catering services anymore that meant my audience was going to change. Taking that into consideration, my brand’s rebranding was geared toward attracting new customers and introducing new services and value to my past customers.

Are you thinking about rebranding? Is rebranding for you?
