Every now and then, you meet someone by chance and you know it was meant to be. That’s how I felt about meeting indie author Jessica Lynn-Savage.

For International Women’s Day, I would like to introduce you to Jessica, author of Yellow Tape, an urban story about two best friends damaged by love.

I first met Jessica at ITAVF Gala 2022, she is the beautiful wife of Rodney Savage, a very dope and talented tattoo artist who was one of ITAVF’s Gala Sponsors. After the gala, Jessica and I reconnected and we began to talk about her love for writing and books. As an avid reader and fellow book lover, this was the start of something new. After chatting for a few, Jessica shared with me that she was working on her story Yellow Tape and asked if she could share it with me.

This was the beginning of how I became her BIGGEST fan.

I love supporting fellow creatives who have a passion and love for their craft, and after reading Yellow Tape, I immediately fell in love with her story.

Yellow Tape, is about two friends, best friends who are dealing with everyday issues some might be able to relate to. I love that Jessica didn’t shy away from the realness of these issues that many people are dealing with on an everyday basis.

Yellow Tape is more than just an urban story about two friends, it makes you question the What Ifs and may even trigger something inside of you. There’s a fine line between codependency and romance.

I instantly fell in love with the characters, Snoh and Freya, dare I say I have a favorite… I’ll reveal who it is as the story progresses.

Thanks to Jessica, I’m like a kid on xmass eve waiting for her to drop new chapters .

As a creative, sometimes it can be difficult to create. That’s why Jessica is my International Women’s Day Highlight.

Thank you for creating this amazing story and dedicating the time to share your craft with us. I truly enjoy reading Yellow Tape and falling in love with the characters. I am addicted. The way you’ve carefully crafted each character, while painting a picture for us, addresses real life issues and struggles many young adults are faced with. I admire you and your work.

Keep writing, sharing and creating.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the badass women out there being creative and dope.

You can read Yellow tape on Wattpad. New chapters are released every week. Currently, Yellow Tape has 18 chapters, and it’s ongoing.
