Over the holiday weekend, I took the time to redesign, restructure, and organize my blog.
I didn’t realize just how much it needed it.
I had hundreds of stock photos that no longer served a purpose, old themes I hadn’t used in years, and blog posts that were missing SEO information. There were broken links, outdated plugins, and little things that had slowly piled up over time.
Honestly, I didn’t realize I had been neglecting it.
After my website was hacked, I stopped focusing on blogging and only published a post every now and then.
This website has been with me for more than 12 years, and losing almost everything in 2024 took a lot out of me. I started questioning whether I even wanted to rebuild it. I wondered if I wanted to continue blogging on top of everything else I was juggling.
Eventually, I decided to keep going, but if I’m being honest, my heart wasn’t fully in it.
I reuploaded some of my previous blog posts and even published new ones, but I wasn’t showing up consistently the way I used to.
At the beginning of 2026, I promised myself that I would be more intentional about blogging. What I didn’t fully consider was that I would also be navigating postpartum life while raising two little ones and running multiple organizations and businesses.
For the first half of the year, blogging simply wasn’t my priority.
And that’s okay.
I don’t want this to sound like an excuse because it isn’t. It’s simply where I was in that season of life.
These past few days, I finally sat down and gave this website the attention it deserved. I cleaned it up, reorganized it, updated old posts, and started thinking about where I want it to go over the next decade.
Somewhere in that process, something shifted.
I felt proud of this space again.
I remembered why I started blogging all those years ago.
This has never just been a website to me. It’s been a journal, a portfolio, a classroom, a creative outlet, and a place where I’ve documented my journey through entrepreneurship, motherhood, grief, milestones, and everything in between.
This blog has grown alongside me.
And now, it’s time for me to show up for it the way it’s shown up for me over the years.
So here’s to a fresh chapter.
Here’s to writing more, sharing more, and documenting this journey with intention.
To those of you who have been reading my blog since the beginning, thank you for continuing this journey with me. Your support over the years means more than you’ll ever know.
And to those who are just discovering this little corner of the internet, welcome. I’m so happy you’re here, and I hope you’ll stick around as we continue this journey together.
No matter when you found me, thank you for being here.
I’m glad you’re here.
