Entrepreneur | Creative Director | Speaker | Community Advocate

Trudean Haye is a multi-creative entrepreneur, creative director, speaker, and community advocate whose work lives at the intersection of entrepreneurship, storytelling, and community impact. With over a decade of experience in marketing, brand strategy, and communications, she has built a career centered on helping ideas take form and purpose take root.

Her work is defined by a long-standing commitment to service and community empowerment. As the Founder and CEO of ITAVFoundation, It Takes A Village, she has led initiatives that provide educational resources, maternal support, and essential services to families in Philadelphia and Jamaica. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into sustained community programming that continues to support students, parents, and underserved communities through access, education, and care.

Her dedication to youth development and literacy led to the creation of the Plant The Seed Movement, an initiative focused on encouraging reading, creativity, and long-term growth among young people. Through this work, books have been collected and shared widely within the community, helping to cultivate both knowledge and imagination in the next generation.

Trudean’s advocacy extends to addressing immediate community needs through hands-on outreach. Through initiatives such as Homeless Still Human and her leadership within Operation Turkey’s Philadelphia efforts, she has helped organize the distribution of meals, essential items, and resources to individuals and families experiencing hardship. Her work reflects a consistent belief in showing up for communities in ways that are both practical and compassionate.

Her contributions to public health awareness include campaigns and programming focused on HIV education, stigma reduction, and access to testing. She has led and supported community-centered initiatives that prioritize awareness, education, and care, ensuring that conversations around health are both accessible and inclusive.

In addition to her work through ITAVFoundation, Trudean serves as the Executive Director of the Byrd Cancer Education and Advocacy Foundation, where she leads efforts to expand access to education, resources, and community-centered conversations around cancer care. Her work centers on addressing disparities and ensuring that underserved communities are informed, supported, and represented.

She also serves as Vice President of the Ricky Codio Foundation, supporting initiatives that use the arts as a platform for expression, engagement, and opportunity within the community.

Alongside her nonprofit leadership, Trudean has built a strong foundation in brand development and creative direction. She has worked with entrepreneurs and organizations to develop clear, impactful identities rooted in authenticity and purpose. Her approach blends strategy with storytelling, helping brands not only grow, but connect in meaningful ways.

Trudean is also a writer and the voice behind Life Is a Journey, a platform where she shares reflections on entrepreneurship, motherhood, and personal growth. Her writing is shaped by lived experience and offers insight into what it means to build a life while navigating its many transitions.

Her perspective is informed by her experiences as a mother, an immigrant, and a creative. These lived experiences shape how she leads, how she builds, and how she shows up in every space she enters. Across every role, her work remains grounded in one intention: to create impact that is both meaningful and lasting.

My Latest Downloadable Guide

FINALLY! IT’S HERE

I’ve written so many books, but I’ve been sitting on most of them. I never imagined that an entrepreneurship guide would be my first published one, but I go with the wind! This guide came about after noticing how many entrepreneurs, especially creatives, struggle with truly understanding their brand. During my 1-on-1 consultations, my goal is to help them either rebuild or lay the foundation for their brand. This workbook is a simpler version of my usual process, and I hope it helps anyone who reads it build a stronger, more confident brand.
