Why the Comments Are Turned Off

If you’ve been reading Life Is a Journey for a while, you may have noticed that the comment section is no longer available on my blog.

It wasn’t a decision I made lightly.

One of the things I love most about writing is knowing that something I share might resonate with someone else. Over the years, I’ve received thoughtful emails, direct messages, and conversations that started because of something I wrote. Those moments remind me why I continue to share my journey.

Unfortunately, the comment section became something else entirely.

No matter how many spam filters, verification tools, or security measures I put in place, the bots always seemed to find their way through. Instead of meaningful conversations, I found myself spending more time deleting spam and managing unwanted comments than actually writing.

At some point, I realized I was putting energy into maintaining a feature that was no longer serving its purpose.

So I made the decision to turn comments off.

Not because I don’t want to hear from you.

Quite the opposite.

I genuinely enjoy connecting with readers. Some of the most meaningful conversations I’ve had have come from someone sending a message after reading a post. Those conversations feel more personal, more thoughtful, and often lead to connections that extend far beyond a single comment.

If something I write resonates with you, I’d still love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out through my contact page, send me an email, or connect with me on social media. Those conversations are always welcome.

Life Is a Journey has always been a space for reflection, storytelling, and sharing the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Closing the comment section doesn’t change that. It simply allows me to spend less time fighting spam and more time doing what I came here to do in the first place.

Thank you for reading, for following along, and for being part of the journey.

Here’s to the journey.
