Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the highly anticipated MQFactory Grand Opening Photo Shoot Day Party, organized by the talented Ricky Codio and the MQFactory Team (which I’ve joined. I’ll share more on a later post). The newly unveiled Mannequin Factory, an expansive 8,000 sq. ft. production studio and art gallery was filled with creativity, entertainment, and a lively atmosphere that perfectly complemented the Manayunk Arts Festival that weekend.

The Mannequin Factory, also known as MQFactory is located at 126 Leverington Ave. Philadelphia Pa 19127, was transformed into a haven for art enthusiasts and creatives individuals alike.

One of the highlights of the event was the live photoshoots taking place throughout the day. Which I enjoyed tremendously. MQFactory’s team of photographers and fellow creatives ensembles posed gracefully amidst the vibrant backdrops, capturing the essence of creativity in real time. Spectators, including myself, were granted the opportunity to witness the magic unfold before our eyes, a true testament to the vision and talent of the photographers present.

MQFactory Grand Opening offered more than just a visual feast. Ricky Codio and his team ensured that attendees could immerse themselves in the world of art. Interactive installations dotted the venue, allowing guests to become part of the artwork themselves. It was a truly inclusive experience, encouraging everyone to engage and explore their creative side.

As I left the event, filled with inspiration and a renewed appreciation for the power of creativity, I couldn’t help but reflect on the significance of such gatherings. Black Creatives and creatives in general are so DOPE!

I love how art and the love for art bring people together and fostering a sense of community. Ricky Codio and the entire team behind the MQFactory Grand Opening deserve commendation for organizing an exceptional event that will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the summer’s premier art experiences.
