What a year. Who would’ve thought we would have been in lockdown…and with a NEWBORN BABY AT THAT.
2020 was the year of unexpected craziness mixed with opportunities. My year started off with the countdown of welcoming Phoenix. He was born on Feb 24th, 2020 and what a blessing it was for my partner and I.
Although we were in lockdown, I was able to spend undivided time with Phoenix and enjoyed all these moments because they really do grow fast. Unfortunately, my partner (soon to be husband) had to work during the pandemic because he’s a healthcare provider. It was a rough summer with a protest, the city shutting down and we lost our car which meant he had to take public transportation. 2020 was rough to say the least.
But, I had amazing opportunities. ITAVFoundation, my 501c3 nonprofit organization, was able to help a lot of people. We also partnered with a group of black birth workers in Philadelphia to host a community baby shower for moms who weren’t able to have one due to the pandemic.
I also rebranded my catering business. Which created a new opportunity for me to become a full-time self employed entrepreneur. Not only that, I officially launched my creative brand agency “Trudean Haye Company” which my blog will be under now.
Over the years, I’ve worked as a business consultant, creative director, and brand strategist. I’ve worked in PR and worked as a publicist and now I’m taking everything I’ve learned and built over the years to step out of my comfort zone. So yes, I will be blogging more and I’ll be talking about business tips and the journey into entrepreneurship more as well.
I’m constantly revamping and finding new ways to improve my platform, so you’ll see many changes as time passes.
